Mental Health & Wellbeing

Because farmers support us all – we want to support you

Farming is demanding - physically, financially, and emotionally.

It often means long hours, working alone, and carrying the weight of a family business on your shoulders.

At the Farm Business Survey, we recognise these pressures. While we’re here to gather data, we’re also committed to being part of a supportive farming community.

This page signposts free, confidential services that are here to listen and help.

Workers harvest leafy green vegetables in a sunny field, placing them into yellow and black plastic crates. A tractor is visible in the background, and several people are spread out across the field.

“Being part of the Farm Business Survey reminded me I’m not the only one facing these challenges.”

You’re not alone – and you don’t need to wait for a crisis

We encourage all FBS participants — and anyone in farming — to reach out for support when it’s needed. The services listed here are free, confidential, and judgement-free.

Even just talking can be a big step forward. If you’d prefer to speak to someone you already know, you can also reach out to your Research Officer, who will make sure you get connected to the right support if needed.
